The proposed one-lane design is great and will tame the hazardous Shelburne / Locust / Ledge / St. Paul / South Willard intersection. For a City that claims to be on the forefront, Burlington is coming late to the roundabout revolution. The roundabout was endorsed by the Burlington Walking Work Group and the Burlington Bike Council.<br /><br />The intersection is a "high crash location" -- one of the 50 most accident-prone intersections in the state. The one-lane roundabout will make this gateway into the City a safer place for walkers, bicyclists and motorists.
